Fusion dance is back on the Peninsula.

Every second and fourth Thursday in downtown Redwood City. A free lesson at 8:30, then three hours of blues, fusion, and whatever the DJ feels like playing.

A night at Solar

Come for the lesson, stay for the floor.

Fusion is partner dancing without a rulebook: blues, tango, swing, zouk, and whatever else the dancers bring. No partner or experience needed. The lesson gets you moving; the room does the rest.

  1. 8:30

    Free lesson

    A 45-minute class in the medium studio, usually pitched for beginners. Rotating guest teachers. No partner needed.

  2. 9:15

    Dancing

    Two DJs, one big ballroom, wood floor, fairy lights. Snacks and a water cooler in the lounge.

  3. 12:00

    Lights up

    Sliding scale $5 – $25, $15 suggested, Venmo preferred. Nobody turned away for lack of funds. Carpool drivers and volunteers get in free.

Two anniversary nights, one birthday cake.

September 24 goes late with food and a bonus hour. October 8 brings our first ever live act, Laughing Matters.
